Title Kissed by an Angel Beautiful Haze Mix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

3/5 : Good
Artist Factoria
Comments It's not difficult to know what you are getting from a Factoria tune, generally a solid trance tune and this is no exception. This has a nice underlying tone to it which you have to listen out for. Good beat with a nice progressive melody on top, plus a hard to hear bell sort of melody in the background. Combine this lot together and you have a tune that is smooth and pleasing on the ears. There are also two main themes, both full of emotion and tempo which is really cool. My gripe, samey.

3/5 : Good
Artist Mark Otten
Comments A typical tune from Mark Otten, very melodic and very chilled. This is a nice tune that moves well, all be it slow from the off. It has a really nice tune in the middle which sounds much faster than it actually is. It sounds good and is one that I like to hear real loud. It has an almost screechy feel to this and the other noises in places are really quite good as well. Although the theme is quite long, again there is only bite at it; which lets this down. This is a good remix, but just needed a bit more of the good stuff rather than a beat.

1/5 : Poor
Artist Primer
Comments This is on the flip side to ?Morgana? and is a better tune, all be it I use the word ?better? loosely. That said this takes over 5 minutes to get going, which is a bloody long time in music. It's really quite disappointing when it does as all you get is a bit on 'trance? on a fairly weak beat and then it blows out. For a track that is over 9 minutes long I would expect something much better. This is quite progressive, but also quite boring and I'm struggling with it.

Artist John O'Bir
Comments This has a very retro feel of Marc Almond ?I Feel Love? at the beginning, spooky. This doesn't last for long and the beat is soon oozing away quite merrily. Lays a nice catchy tune and then really builds on it with a well cool bit of drum work. This then flows back into the main anthem, which is sort of left a bit flat as the build up was so immense. This can be looked over as the anthem itself is quite lot and has another fierce ending of drums at its conclusion. Two bites at the cherry make this a very nice one to have indeed.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Luminary
Comments Tad slow to get going this one and the vocals don't help. The beat pumps, but the vocals just sound dreary and drag this down. There's also a fairly long pause before the tune has even got going, which to be honest almost made me turn this off. It's in this that a nice piano break kicks in which then lifts the beat quite nicely, but the vocals persist which has a negative affect. I can't find a dub version which this would benefit from greatly.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Christopher Lawrence & Nicholas Bennison
Comments A typically deep progressive tune, with a touch of Miika. Very very progressive this, in fact I thought it was going to never happen. Quite an epic start with lots of feeling and sounds, but no real substance. Just keeps throwing the same old noise at you with no real change in tempo or rhythm. Some nice moody noises in the background and an overall well produced tune, just not my cup of tea.

Title Greek Trick Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Hydroid
Comments I originally got this for the Perry O?Neil Remix, but ended up preferring the Original. Got a good feel to this, a rather different sound to the usual stuff out there. Not sure if I'd call it Greek, but a nice sound. Only one crack at the anthem, which as ever always lets a tune down. This is a typical Hydroid tune in that it has that cool Hydroid sound and feel to it. I think on this occasion they've tried to steer away, but been pulled right back in. I like this, it's original.

Title Playground Nu NRG Remix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Second Sun
Comments I had to listen to this version and the Original a few times before I started to like this. Lots of noise, most of it pretty good; but not a huge amount of direction in places. It's towards the end that it all slows down and you get some vocals. It sounds OK, but it really does slow the whole thing down quite drastically. The tune just doesn't recover from this, which is a real shame. Potential, just not delivered.

4/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Vast Vision pres. The Partners in Crime
Comments Yeah, fresh techno feel to this. Nice synth, really lifts the feel of this. Stops and starts again almost a different tune, but still with that nice crisp feel. This is what the good old days used to sound like. Tunes that have been thought out and lovingly compiled. There's a mad Turkish sound in the middle which is well wacky. An all round very good tune.

Title Mesh Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Aava
Comments Funky. I like the beat and I like the weird frog like noises in the background at the beginning. Nice use of a gentle piano type synth as well, just to ease you in. The pause bit comes a bit soon, but this is quite a mellow little bit. Nice plip plop noises, quite soothing really. To be honest, I thought this was Hydroid when I first heard it as it has that feel to it. Nice second anthem which encompasses everything you will have heard, all at once. It's not too over powering, just right.

Title Chamberlain Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Airbase
Comments This is a freebie download from the Airbase homepage, so that can't be bad ! This is a real happy tune, with lots of passion behind it. Bit on the cheese side, but has a good beat and the chorus has an extra uumph behind it, which sounds good. As far as being a freebie, well; you can't go wrong. So get along to the link below and get yourself a copy. Remember to support the artist, which isn't difficult as it's Airbase; who's generally quality stuff.

Title Exhale Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Benz & MD
Comments Deep, dark and moody; but with a certain appeal. This is very progressive, so if you want a monster club tune; don't bother. I'm not sure why I like this, but once it's running it has a nice lift in it; quite nice. It moves along well, all be it on the slowish side; but it just sounds nice. In the morning in the car, I find this very relaxing and it's a good chill out on the way home. Not sure what sort of recommendation that is, but there you have it !
Label Lost Language (Promo) : Released December 2005

Title Cantus Original Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist HKN
Comments First time I heard this, I loved it. I tracked it down and cooled on it, although it's still an OK tune. You know what first impressions can be like. This has a very solid beat and a very down tempo feel to it, very chilled. Lots of spacey noises and soothing sounds. That aside, very slow to get going and just doesn't do it for me as nothing really happens. If this had a pounding trance chorus then I'd be wanking myself silly, but it doesn't. A relaxed and chilled number, not really for the clubs.

Title Reflections Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Starlet
Comments This is quite a deceptive little tune. Starts quite powerfully then slows right down with a nice piano break, which is slowly built on with various synths and beats. Once you get through all that, it kicks off into a nice melodic number. The piano remains throughout, just some extra synth to push it along. I quite make up my mind if the blend is right, but it's very catchy. Nice intro, but not a long enough anthem in the middle.

Title On My Mind Ace da Brain Remix

This text will be replaced by the flash music player.

5/5 niiiccceeeee
Artist Pervading Call
Comments This was released under ?Pervading Call Two?, as it was their second release and what a release. This is a great tune. It starts like a very hard and meaningful trance number and it sounds great. The middle has one of the most atmospheric tunes you are likely to hear, it's quite brilliant. This in turn turns into a brilliant anthem of sound, euphoria at its absolute peak. Just listen to this tune and let it take you away from it all, it's sooo nice.
