Comments This has a great feel to it from the very off, I love the synth and beat that sound so crisp and meaningful. It does then go a bit wishy washy and overly emotional, which is a shame as I would normally like this, but not after the bouncy start. Fortunately things do get back on track, you get a nice melodic piano break on top of a steady and solid beat. The melody is also a very nice length, doesn't do a lot; but it gets across the whole feeling of the tune. This is a solid little number, not earth shattering; but it has a nice happy feel to it and some real depth and meaning.

Comments This has a different feel to the normal, not massively; but enough. Great piano early on, quiet; but very effective. The rest of the tune is very deep and it doesn't do a huge amount. The beginning compared to the middle and end is quite different. The synths that fade in and out are great and I like the whole ambience, but it's missing that cutting sound or edge to make this stand out. Two anthems, with the second being different by way of an extra synth. This isn't a quality track, but there is something here that draws me back that I like. Odd when that happens.

Comments Great beat this, kicks in with some real power. Deep undertone gives this an almost techno feel and the nice flute synths mellow things out very nicely. What doesn't happen is for the tune to build on the great start. It flows well and on the whole I do like this, but there could have been more. The melody is very nice, you get the flute synth again and the beat blends well with the whole ambiance. I like the feel to this, but it doesn't peak if you get my meaning. A good tune, but missing a real pinnacle moment.

Comments A typical sound from this artist, a fresh summery vibe; a sound that will make you smile. I like the synth in the melody that repeats back and forth, nicely highlighting the tune. The rest is the same throughout, bar the odd tempo uplift; which to be fair happen fairly often. This is a happy song, has a good feeling, runs well throughout and is pleasing on the ear. It's not what I would call a dance floor filer, but in terms of something to listen to; yes.

3/5 : Good
Artist Craig London
Comments This has a dark edge to things, which I like. The beat had a moody feel to it which is nicely tempered with the subtle synth at the beginning. If you listen closely you will also hear a nice flute, again tempers the whole feel of this. This builds up quite slowly, but quite effectively. When you get there you know what you are getting as it's effectively what you've been listening to. It does come together nicely with an extra high pitch synth which based on the rest of the track is a tad out of place. That aside, the whole feel to this is just about right. The melody is long enough to really get into and the production of sound works a treat. Nice.

3/5 : Good
Artist Daniel Kandi
Comments So, we now have hash tags in song titles; I suppose it was inevitable. Starts with a real bangin bass line which at first I didn't like as it was too heavy, it grew on me. When you get down to business the sound has a very Russian feel to it and I like that, although the actual sound and smoothness is a bit off. The melody is a nice long one with the second part slightly more upbeat, but it sticks to the main sound quite religiously. It's different, but could have been more and therefore better. A good stab at a different Kandi vibe.

Comments Has a real cheese feel to this, bit too cuddly. I would say this is summer music, but it's not that either. When you finally get to the melody, it doesn't lose its cuddly feeling and to be honest it may make you feel a tad sick. I can see what the artists have tried to do, but I'm not sure they listened to this when they had finished. So, on the positive I like the beat and I like the synths and what they are doing. Put it all together and it doesn't work for me. It's not even commercial; it's just a real soft sound with no real depth or passion. Shame.

Comments Very slow tune this, very chilled and very nice on the ears. Sometimes subtle can be very effective and in this instance it is. I like the fresh uncluttered feel to this tune. The synths are crisp and to the point and the beat is not complicated or overpowering. The melody has some extra bits to help out, but it all gels together really well and you haven't got too much going on in terms of sounds. The beat keeps going and although the synths are minimal it just continues to work. A really nice tune.

Comments I like this, the feel and undertones are really good. There is a wave of sound that washes in and out of this track, which works to very good effect. The melody keeps it simple with a fresh synth and some nice backgrounds. The second part is helped with a new sound and all in all the sound works really well. This isn't trying to be clever, it is just delivering something that works and the artist has done very well in that respect. Works on almost every level.

Comments Solarstone has a way of making vocal tracks work and he does it again with this. I liked this before I heard it and wasn't disappointed. I like this sound and feel; it compliments a lot of other tracks out there when you are on the decks. The piano break in the middle is really nice and I love the way the track comes back in. The vocals here work a treat, especially if you listen to them. I like the first melody with the vocals and the later without, best of both worlds. A very clever and well produced sound, again.

Comments This is quite an emotional record to be honest, which when you first hear you'll think I'm an idiot. Quite a powerful beat, with lots of energy; but it slows down a bit and the build-up to the melody is quite powerfully emotional. When you get there, the sound is a tad subdued, but I think that's deliberate. It has that nice sense of music being washed over you, but if you listen carefully there are some wonderful synths. Just when you're getting into the swing, the main chord comes back in from earlier. This nicely settles the tune down and gives you that feeling of completeness. A real gem this, nice.

Title Atlantis Ikerya Project Remix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Damian Wasse & Manuel le Saux
Comments There's a real odd guitar in this, I think it stood out so much that I started to like this more. That aside, the beat for this is a bit samey and doesn't roll around well in my head at times. The rest is pretty good, solid enough beat and the synths work well. Let down during the melody that there is no real change in direction and the whole thing is the same, which is similar to the beat in general. It does try to end on a positive, but again a bit on the flat side. OK, but not earth shattering.

3/5 : Good
Artist Perfect Vision & Demy Yorth
Comments Quite a laid back feel to this, it has that smooth feel; but a hard beat at the same time. The tune does loose it's way a bit and the slowdown is partly to blame. Once the melody gets going you do get back to business and the sound is very pure and refreshing. It doesn't lift you the way I like, but I like what I hear; just in a different way. By pure I mean it's a bit with a good synth, it's not trying to be anything else and on that level this works. Needs a bit more in places, but still a good vibe.

Comments This is what Fluoro was many years back, hard and with an acid edge. Bit different to the norm now, which is never bad; but this verges a bit too far away from the club scene. I do love the break down in the middle, really great and the synth that then creeps on top is equally great. Past this things don't really progress too much, which is annoying. The beat is fantastic and it's that what brings me back, but it does need a lot more. I can't even suggest when you would play this as it's a bit crazy, which is perhaps the appeal. Different to say the least.

Title Xuri Original Mix

3/5 : Good
Artist Aivem vs. Vilmo
Comments This is a pleasant tune, edges towards being mellow rather than full on. Very long build-up, but it's very well produced and it sounds and works well. When the tune does get going it's at the same sort of pace, but you get all the extra synths that help move the tune along. It is missing a loud synth, but perhaps that would not be in keeping with the general feel of the tune. I like the mellow sound, almost summery if you get my meaning. This won't set the world on fire, but it's a nice tune to drive to or if you are feeling a bit down.
