2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Lionas
Comments This is a deep tune, solid beats and some real deep undertones; mainly driven through the bass line. I like the feel to this, it's very simple; but you get that sense of something. The slowdown initially kills this of as it's far too slow (odd that), but things do recover. You get the vibe back although this time via a different sound, nice touch. It's a real shame that the melody itself is so flat. You have the good vibe, but the synths driving are very flat and uninspiring. Starts well, but ends not so.

3/5 : Good
Artist SoundLift
Comments New sub label on Abora, Skies; so let's see what comes out on it. SoundLift are a good start although their tunes seem to be getting longer and longer and this is no exception at nearly 11 minutes. It takes an age to get going this and although the artist has put a lot of time and effort in to easing this pain, it doesn't work very well. The slowdown is a drag down, far too long. Shorter would have worked well, but here it gets tedious. Once you get there it's no real surprise, much the same as the previous half. I do like the feel to this, lots of passion and emotion and to be honest this is what I associate with the artist. Some nice high notes in the melody, which is also very long. Needs to be a good 4 minutes shorter, but from 6 minutes on you have a very nice tune.

3/5 : Good
Artist Ben Stone
Comments You have to bear with this tune, it's very slow to get going, but I do believe that is deliberate on the part of the artist. This is quite a ‘plip plop' record, with all the synths being very sharp and crisp, sounds good. The melody is similar, but there's a great beat underneath and midway you get a piano introduced into the mix and with all this what you hear sounds really good indeed. It doesn't last long enough, which does leave you wanting and I can't be having that. Nice though.

Artist Solarstone
Comments An unusual tune to remix, but a remix completed very well indeed. I've listened to this a few times and although the sound doesn't sound very modern, it's very much in line with the original. Great pulsating beat throughout tis, with a slight edge of techno. Ehen the melody kicks in you get a wonderful feeling of past times, but infused with the more modern. The theme is driven by the beat and the this goes on and is very well supplemented by the synths and melodies. It is missing something, a little lift or a different sound mid flow, but what you have is a super tune nonetheless.

Comments Quite different to the normal BluEye stuff, bit more toned down and with a nice melodic piano. That said, the (not so) slowdown drags out a bit, you kind of get to a point where you get it. Once the main melody kicks in it starts a real nice sound on your ears. The pace sounds quicker and there is a bit more emphasis on the whole thing, but nicely tempered. It also plays out for quite some time, so you can forgive the slow build-up as already mentioned. There is also a second melody tucked away, which comes a really nice surprise and adds a whole load of depth to the tune. It's not as long, but a cracking way to end the tune. If the start had been a bit quicker, wow; as it is; very nice.

Comments This is an interesting EP, consisting of 3 solid tunes. The downside to all of them is their length, far too short. This tune has a great mellow beat, very progressive and easy on the ears. When the tune gets going it sounds gorgeous and the piano really adds a great deal of depth. It's quite a mesmerising tune in the way that the artist has blended all the synths and sounds together. It just needs a few extra minutes to allow you to get really lost in the sound. A good EP nonetheless and I think you will like at least one of the tracks.

Artist Zoo Brazil feat. Philip
Comments This is a half decent tune, with some very different mixes. I went for Solarstone as it has a fantastic funky beat, which really is catchy from the very off. The vocals are a bit odd and male, which makes a change. They do work quite well and as part of the tune they fit. The tune is a bit muddled, the vocals do go a bit all over the place; but the melodies bring things back together. These are simple and just over emphasise what has already happened. The beat is so driving that it would take some to change things. The more I listen to this, the more it grows on me. Nice tune

Comments I am liking this artist, a lot at the moment. Only been a couple of tunes, but both have been superb and this is no different. 4 excellent mixes and you are going to be very hard pressed to pick a fave. This has a ton of emotion in it, lots of great uplifting synths and really powerful driving beat. This is a top epic trance tune, draws on all the good stuff that you've come to like and then brings it all together in a true symphony of sound. Each mix has a different on the tune, but all stay true to what the artist has created. 4 great tracks, a must buy.

Comments Liking stuff on CSR a lot, this has a great sound. Starts really well and the slowdown is a bit counteracting, it's quite an odd sound to be honest; not a bad one though. The melody gets things back to business, with a really crisp and fresh sound. The beat does not overpower and the synths are doing just about enough. You get to the second half and some weird synths reverb around for a bit (sounds OK) and you then get another dose of what you heard previous. It's pretty frantic at times, but controlled and I like this. On some levels I struggle with this, but on most others it ticks quite a few boxes. I like the uplifting end rather than a dead stop, nice effort.

Comments This has a weird feel to it initially, sounds a bit tinny until the bass kicks in. The synth melody is quite unique, I will say that. You hit the slowdown and there are some really nice synths and the feeling of the tune changes quite a bit, you get a sense of purpose which was missing up to this point. The melody kicks in and you won't be blown away, but keep listening. The beat is constant and the feel is maintained, what you have is a good vive continually going. It then tricks you into thinking it's about to end and it all starts up again (after another slowdown). Second time around and there's more impotence to the tune and it has a different feel to before, so almost a different slant on things. I like this, but the gap in the middle lets this down as it takes too long and you lose the high you were on.

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Anden State
Comments This has a very classic feel to things, I like the beat and the undertones; all sounds very 10 years ago. Age isn't a bad thing and in this tune that's certainly the case. Good driving beat from the off and the obligatory slowdown works nicely. Good synths here that build-up very well to the main melody and the crux of the tune. Once you get there, the tone goes a bit flat and death and I don't like that. The whole feel for the tune gets lost, the undertones are too deep and almost drown out what the artist is trying to do and convey. Shame, started well.

Comments I'm really beginning to like this artist, not afraid to try something different or make a long tune! It has the signature synth sound at the beginning, again something I like across tunes. Once you get to the melody, things seem to have taken a slight age. The build-up is nice, but it does need a bit more in it to keep you interested. The melody however is very nice. Single synth drives the tune forwards and there is a nice simple beat, plus an appropriate undertone. You get a bit of a piano break (although it does stop) and then things get going again. It's this second chance at the melody that really wins me over with this tune, very nice indeed.

Comments I love the beat with this tune and just after the first minute it kicks in really nicely, with a background acid effect as well. The slowdown doesn't really happen, what you get is a different beat with some sparse vocals, which work really well. The melody isn't spectacular, it's subtle and simple. Very much n keeping with the start and I like the way that it holds true to the whole tune. The later part gets a nice uplift with some emotional synths and the vocals are back, sounds really nice. This is a super progressive tune, not too loud, just right.

3/5 : Good
Artist Napalm & D-Phrag
Comments At the beginning you get bells, been a while since I have heard them (brought back some memories though). I have to say this is quite a bizarre tune and I have listened to this many many times just to get my head round it. Bear with it as on the whole this is a good production of different sounds and ideas and in many respects it all pays off. It's just a chaotic tune with so much going on and then it changes direction to something else, pure madness. Do have a listen though, if only for the bells.

Comments You have to stick with this tune as although when it starts it sounds good, it gets a lot better. As this progresses a lot more feeling comes into play and the tune starts to sound more solid and compiled. Once you hit the guitar sounding synth (quite plucky) you are getting close. When the melody does launch this made me get goose bumps, no idea why; but it did. The feeling here is just tremendous from such a simple vibe; it just works. The melody builds nicely, with some extra synths underneath adding to the pressure of the moment. It then just keeps going, pure delight on the ears and then some more. As you can guess I like this tune, it's a great summer tune now the sun is out in the UK. Play it loud.
