Comments Strange start to this, lots of beat and pianos; but no clear direction. That said, it does sound quite nice, gives a somewhat more mysterious slant to proceedings. The slowdown kind of brings basic into perspective, but it's not until the melody that the pieces fall into place. You do get a really cool ambient tune, whilst the neat is good; the feeling to this is almost spaced out. The synths are nice, there are a few working in harmony and the depth of what you hear is great. Whilst this is all great, the tune is lacking; mainly that I wasn't sure at the beginning what was happening. No bad thing, but can put you off a tune if you don't get that feeling that it's going to be worth listening to. It is, so give it a try.

Comments An impressive tune from an equally impressive label. Good start and an interesting slowdown, which isn't that slow. The melody comes quite quickly and you get a whole wealth of sound to wrap your ears around, really nice. As things move through the tune, it sounds like its speeding up or has a lot more urgency about itself. There's a ton of passion and energy in here, whilst the main theme of the tune doesn't vary; you are always wanting to hear more. It's here that this tune wins big, a monster melody with a hood few minutes as well; it doesn't just give you something and drop off; this keeps pounding away. Each time I listen to this it gets better and better and tune that doesn't sound like it's going to end, but unfortunately it does. A monster.

Comments This has a nice upbeat feel to it, quite summery in places; but still has a nice edge. The beginning is a bit too long, it's a while before something else happens, but when it does you get a very different epic synth kick in, to liven things up. Then the melody launches, with this synth; but with that extra energy wrapped around it. The tune is a happy one, although it really does need something else in the melody to lift this up a bit more. I thought this was going to happen, but the tune started to wind down which was a disappointment. Good club tune with a nice summer feel.

Comments Been a while since I really liked something from this guy, this almost changes that opinion. Great start and the slowdown brings a completely difference angle with a piano break, very good idea and works a treat. Towards the end, the tune gets back on track with some of the earlier sounds and energy and then launches into the main anthem. The beat firms up real nice, not a lot except for the main synth at first and then things start to warm-up with a sweet little sound that drives the tune that little bit harder. It then ends at a point where you so wanted more, a real shame. A very nice tune, robbed of life far too early in the anthem.

Comments Nice start and sound with this, good beat and the synths sound nice and make you want to keep listening. In the slowdown you get a good guitar break which adds a nice summer feel to proceedings. You do just get the main idea of the track at this stage, which again is promising. When the melody comes, you do get a really nice summer sounding tune that doesn't over complicate itself in anyway. The tune is kept simple, which when done properly really does work and the artist gets this spot on. The second half of the melody you get a bit more ‘summer' and a great feeling of what you're listening to. No real complaints about this, a solid tune that delivers on nice crisp sound.

Comments Piano tune, with a good beat; which at most levels works for me as it's a great combo when done right. As an EP, the tunes are similar in style; very emotional and heavy with the piano. This one goes a bit wrong in the slowdown as it get s tad too emotional and the great beat you got at the beginning seems a distant past. When things get moving again, I do like the way the piano leads the tune with everything else following and therefore you have a good harmony. The melody is a good length and each section you get a little extra sound, which sounds good and keeps things very much alive. That all said, whilst this is a good tune there is nothing here to smash it home; but worth a listen of both tunes.

Comments There are quite a few good mixes of this, so as a package definitely worth picking up and with this you get the original 2012 release as well. Starts very sci-fi, with quite a deep moody feel to tings; which sounds OK, but I'm hoping it picks up a bit. The slowdown you get Morpheus from The Matrix talking, a section from the film and it sounds awesome. Been a while since I've heard an artist do this, but the tune here is built around the speech; sounds awesome. The rest of the tune needs to stand up to this and it does. The melody kicks in and you get a hard trance sound, very epic in itself; but hard and pounding. The beat is a bit too loud for me, with everything sounding a bit in the background, but it doesn't detract from a very good trance number. The melody just keeps going and there are extra sounds and energies thrown in for good measure, all good on the ears. It's the distance of the all the tunes that lets this down, otherwise superb.

Comments Taken from the Mini EP, this is quite a hard hitting number. At the beginning you get a good tech edge to things and after a few mins some more settling synths come into play and the tune starts to take form. It's got a really good feel to it, you won't know what to expect. It stays on the happy side and what you get in the melody is exactly, happy music. It doesn't do a lot else to be honest, so whilst I like the beat and feel to this, it does need more in the middle. Still a nice tune.

Comments I had to listen to the versions of this a fair few times to decide what one I preferred, which is sometimes a good thing. Good beat and a really classic trance sound to go with it, edges on techno in some respects; but stays the right side. The slowdown does what it says on the tin and nicely prepares you for what's coming, which you're expecting to be pure epic trance. It is. Great sound, really deep in places; but hammers home a beat and vision from the artist. Second part continues with what you've already had; it was working so why change it. It does end prematurely in my opinion, but with the Raid Mix this is a good EP.

Comments Don't know this label, but will sniff out a few more going forward. Interesting track, strong start and then the slowdown brings in a load of old style classic trance sounds. When the tune really gets going, what you get is a really nice sound. I'm liking the energy and depth of sound, the classic sounds work nicely and when you get the plucky synth, plus some vague vocals; it all comes together really well. Things are a tad too short for my liking though, need more of the driving rhythm, but a cool tune.

Comments Great vibe from the off here, plus some of the other mixes aren't too shabby either. Love the way it slows down, but keeps the momentum going and the acid sound underneath it all is great; a sound I've always loved. The melody bounces along with a great amount of energy and passion, you get a nice uplift in the second half which almost makes this a perfect tune. So why isn't it I hear you ask? Too short to be short about it. I wanted more in the melody as it was absolutely rocking and then it was stolen away. Quality tune though, worth an investment.

Comments 2 fairly odd skool artists, so this did intrigue me. What you get here is a really solid house come trance tune. The slowdown is really cool, nice synth comes into play and sets the scene for what's going to happen. I like the way the tempo and mood is built up, good use of sounds. When it gets going, you have the slowdown, but with a beat. It sounds good, uncluttered and not too complicated. The artists have clearly not gone overboard and it works well. It does need a little lift here and there as whilst it does deliver on sound, it's not changing. The melody is a good length, long enough to really listen to what's going on. Nothing spectacular, but I like what I've heard.

Comments This is quite different, the synth early on is quite a hard sound; not my usual thing. The melody on top of this goes some way to soothing things down, although I would add this isn't a fast and pacey number. The synths go a bit haywire leading up to the slowdown which in turn goes a bit mad with a fairly full on piece, not what I was expecting; but certainly different. The main melody is quite catchy and I like the way the artist has built you up to it, but the synths here are a bit heavy for my usual liking. The tune then has an interlude, the beat keeps going; but the melody is very short. You again get some nice sounds before the tune starts again. I certainly like the idea, but the focus areas are a bit on the short side and you lose the flow. This is fixed in the second part where you get a really good dose of the sound and it works. The construct of this is very different, very bold; but a bit on the heavy side for me.

Comments This doesn't start like a tune you want to listen to. The beat is quite heavy and hard and there's not a lot of sound going on, you don't get that feeling that sucks you in. The slowdown is just that and once you get into the melody it has lost its way a bit, but there's a nice synth awaiting that attempts to pick things up and with some degree of success. You get two solid parts here, both very similar; but the synth really does drive this tune a lot better than earlier in the track. Not brilliant, but worth a listen.

Comments I like this direction that Pulsar is going in, a much harder more club style trance tune. All the noises in the background sound great as well, really add a different depth to things. The tunes move along nicely and then hits the slowdown, which does just that; right down as well. It's at this point I did start to lose interest as the momentum isn't kept up. When it kicks back in, it has lost some of its energy; but the tune almost turns into a beach type tune with a wonderfully melodic synth that washes over the top of everything else. This saves the tune massively, but it could have been more. A bit longer in the melody would have been nice. Good first outing with Pulsar though.
