Comments A strangely spacey tune this one, that isn't particularly long. Different feel to it as it is very atmospheric and spaced out. Nice progressive build up to not so much of an anthem, more of a consistent sound and feel. There's a nice triumphant feel to the middle section and the tune does keep going and going. No breaks here, just music for the purists. Shame it's so short in relation to other tunes that are out there as this could be a real dance killer. Perhaps a few remixes would go down a treat.

Comments You know this is a Probspot Remix without knowing, it just sounds so much like his stuff. This is an OK tune, it doesn't grab me by the balls and say ?play me loud?; but it does have a nice happy feel to it. Good simple beat with a catchy piano noise that works well. The tune does ramble along a bit and it does cry out for something different in places, but that aside what is there is good. Simple, effective and to the point; which is all you can ask for really.

3/5 : Good
Artist Perry O'Neil
Comments This guy knows how to make good solid progressive music. A typical O?Neil tune this, very dark and moody, but with enough pace to keep you interested. Good tune to mix with as it's just plain old house music, with the odd bit of stopping here and there. This has a nice twangy feel to it, sort of a reverbed electric guitar that pulls this along nicely. Good tune.

3/5 : Good
Artist Octagen & Progresia
Comments This has a really funky feel to it and it's not long into the tune that you start to get that nice feel for what's ahead. Not sure if you can call this progressive, but it does build up quite a bit to the main tune. This isn't that exciting in that it sounds good, but doesn't really smack you in the face very hard. The middle stuff is OK, nice spaced out feel before it launches into another chorus. All round, this is a well worked tune that sounds good and has a nice beat and feel. It's just not different.

3/5 : Good
Artist Whirlpool & Octagen
Comments From the first beat this sounds very pacey. It is very rapidly toned down by the addition of some percussion and synths. The chorus here is really refreshing and subtlety different to all the other stuff out there. It moves well and has a sort of wind instrument sound to it, which I like. However, there is only 1 chorus which sucks big time. If there were 2 this would be a much better tune; as it stands it's just a good one.

Comments I like the way this starts. It has some nice choir sounding noises going on with a good beat. This slows down and takes you outside, by that I mean there are some bird noises added. This blends nicely into the chorus with a piercing epic trumpet thrown in for good measure. The main chorus moves well and sounds quite euphoric and is to a certain extent quite uplifting. There is a subtle piano thrown in which helps a lot, although it isn't particularly long. Fortunately there are two choruses which are a big big plus. So, I like this.

3/5 : Good
Artist MIDOR & Six4Eight
Comments Big artist, even bigger remixers. This was quite appealing and also a bit worrying that producers would get in the way of each other. With all the talent it's a shame the beginning is so bloody slow. You don't really get any feel for this until you are well over half way through and it's not the longest tune you will ever buy. Once you have passed all that this delivers a very average sound, nothing spectacular which sort of backed up my worries. It's good and has a nice solid feel to it and there are some nice vibes within, but nothing as mouth watering as it should have been.

Artist Tiesto
Comments This really is quite a breathtaking tune. Taken from his album ?Just Be?, this is just brilliant. It has just about everything you could want. The beginning is quite superb, it's 3 minutes of orchestral work. I'll be honest, not sure if it's an album intro; but it shows as the same tune. You've then got 9 minutes of a fantastic track that is effectively broken down into 2 as it changes half way through to a very different feel. You must buy this tune, as it is one of the best I've heard all year. Well done Tiesto.

Comments This is so not me. Funky disco would be the best way to describe this, but it has certain chill out feel to it, that appeals. Coming from a Spanish label, I'd expect to hear this at the Caf? del Mar ! This is a nice happy tune that moves along nicely at 128 BPM. Gives you that feeling that you have to 'samba? with some fit bird (or bloke), into the early hours. The riff is nice and refreshing and would sound great at 3am while on the beach.

Artist Deepest Blue
Comments I like this lot as they generally produce good quality tunes. This mostly falls into that category and will suit those of you who like your music sounding a bit samey. This is a slow number, which would definitely suit an intro on a set. Nice beat, but the reverb voices are a bit too music and do get on your nerves. I had to listen to this a lot before I decided it was good enough for the site, but it isn't that brill. Could do with a pumped up remix.

1/5 : Poor
Artist Tears for Fears
Comments This is here purely for sentimental reasons. This was probably one of their greatest records and I was interested to hear how this came up. Not very well I'm afraid to report. It has that infamous bell chiming at the beginning and all the vocals are there, but the whole beat thing sounds like the producer has tried to hard to make it sound like something from Space 1999. The beat sounds shallow and there are far too many samples of the original.

Comments Just the name of the artist put me off, but I am so glad I listened! This is a nice mellow tune that I love when I'm driving. It has a nice calming effect that prevents me from screaming at all them idiot drivers out there. This starts with a nice beat and then the whole background changes with some ?rain effect? noises. The tune then starts back up with another nice bit of synth work, making this a thoroughly enjoyable, refreshing and alternative number. Happy, with a large ?H?.

Artist Piece Process
Comments Must be that time of year that a nice fresh summer sound is appearing in a lot of tunes. This is a nice pacey tune that bounces along nicely to a sort of techno sounding beat. The sounds that are going on in your ears work well and it's a nice happy tune. My gripe is that the main bit just isn't long enough. The build up is a bit on the long side and cold have been shorter for the good stuff. Worth a listen nonetheless.

Title One Way Out Extended Mix

2/5 : Not Bad
Artist Niels Van Gogh
Comments I like the beginning of this as it reminds me of the classic ?Gamemaster?. Get past this and you get a hard house number that packs a serious punch. The synth at the beginning sort of tells you where it's going; the vocals on the other hand tell you where it shouldn't be going. They don't work at all as they start by sounding really muffled. Once they are in full swing, they are OK; but still vocals. The beat is solid and progresses nicely through various different drum noises. There's a nice splattering of anthem sounding trumpets in places, which work well. The vocals just don't do it for me.

Artist JS Ten
Comments This is just full on, in your face hard house. A few years ago I would have been right into this sort of stuff, but it sounds a bit too much now. This is just that, lots of banging and noises. Don't get me wrong, this is an OK tune; but one for the head bangers out there. Very club sounding and will no doubt do well in the clubs. Keep going and going rather than lots of stopping, which I like. Just a bit too fast!
